So I have been thinking about improving my posts a little, I have a lot to say but I always fail to find the right words to express my thoughts/ideas or just daily stuff that I do. But here I am, and I will give it a shot hoping it will work out and you lovelies out there will like it :') both positive and negative criticism are welcomed since I'm not really good at doing this, you lovelies might help me along the way :) so here goes my second try I say? after the eat pray love post I suppose. that one took me a while and guts to post :$ I'm a little bit shy to admit it, but there go I said it no harm done, right :)?
So it goes like this, I have been craving strawberries for a couple days now and I kept thinking about strawberry salad before I go to sleep and today I've looked up couple recipes *since I'm not big on kitchen-related stuff*
and decided to go on with the simplest one, the Rachel Ray way :p
I'm not a big fan of hers but, one must say for a first salad I really liked it so did the guests :') ❤
so I went to the supermarket, my first time in the vegetables and fruit section :p yes I confess it is, but most certainly not my last *let's keep our fingers crossed shall we :p lol*
Anyway, I got the strawberries and some other groceries and headed back to start on the salad :D
it certainly did not take long to make, you only need a few ingredients and lets say about 10 minutes to make :)
so here is the ingredients you're going to need, most of them are probably already in your kitchen:
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons strawberry jam
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, eyeball it
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 pint strawberries, sliced
- 4 to 5 cups chopped romaine or mixed greens of any kind
and here is the directions as stated in Rachel's site, simple and easy:
Directions
Place jam in a medium bowl and whisk in vinegar then extra-virgin olive oil. Season the dressing with salt and pepper. Add the strawberries and greens to bowl and toss to coat evenly in dressing.
have any of you lovelies tried to cook anything this ramadhan? if so, please share :')
and I've taken a few pictures of the process, so here they are *my proud moment was the last one, when I tried it and it was real good .. at least for a first I think :$*
getting started:)
almost there :)
and done, voila ! :')
ps. it tasted better than it might look, excuse the quality of pictures they were taken with my phone's camera :)
pps. I hope you find this post useful lovelies :') ❤
